My Tiny Rant: It’s Not Just About The #MeToo Victims
I’d be the first one to cut off the cock and balls of any man who sexually assaulted, raped or abused a female of any age! It’s unconscionable, unforgivable behavior requiring legal accountability and punishment. I’m a #MeToo victim myself, so I speak from experience. (Other than sexual harassment and abuse, the only other abuse women stand a chance at getting protection and legal recourse is physical abuse: men who beat their wives, their girlfriends, their daughters, even their own mothers). The #MeToo Movement is so important and much needed… but it’s just the tip of an egregious iceberg piled high with female victims of all stripes who are being ignored.
You don’t have to be a #MeToo victim to be a victim of a man’s inhumanity to a woman: or men’s inhumanities to women. No, we don’t have to be sexually assaulted to be assaulted. We don’t have to be sexually harassed to be harassed. Everyday women are abused by men in a myriad of ways that don’t get a fucking hashtag! Unconscionable ways that victimize women but which get little or no attention, no media coverage, no formal or legal forms of assistance or protections.** Emotional abuse is often just as painful as physical abuse.
