is your loneliness real or manufactured?
real loneliness is a state of debilitation, often
dangerous. for a wide breadth of reasons.
when manufactured, it is one of distortions.
it clouds clarity of mind. it’s only what
we perceive to be true. it’s trickery.
perceptions are almost never realities.
not even close. loneliness distorts judgement.
it twists our choices into decisions,
usually bad ones. loneliness leaves empty,
echoing hollows in our souls. it causes us to
reach out to anyone, everyone, the wrong ones.
it destroys the psyche, forces us into hiding.
into reclusiveness. into depressions.
it causes mental anguish.

loneliness is ubiquitous, far from unique.
it’s a state or condition or feeling with which
we are all plagued at one time or another.
for many, it is a life
