Because there is STILL no UnClap feature, when I come across something I find really bad or offensive in some way, I simply WRITE a response stating that I regret Medium did not have an UnClap feature…which makes my point!

As far as the number of Claps given, lots of readers still seem to give 1 Clap to Stories; that, I think, is truly insulting. Even really low numbers of Claps (up to 6 maybe) are, in my opinion, insulting. It would be better not to Clap at all because then the writer sees in stats how many times a story was VIEWED, rather than READ. Which, I think, says it a lot better.

Generally I feel if I’m going to Clap for something at all, I try to be genuinely generous. Writers work hard and they deserve positive feedback. And there’s a nice range to do that… from 10 Claps to 50 Claps, and everything in between!
