Bravo on your most effective rant, Johnny!

I can only say that I agree with your basic concept of living in a country which does not have a government that gives a flying fuck about guns. The Republicans, mostly, plus some Democrats in government, are bought and paid for by the NRA because keeping their jobs is far more important than saving lives and preventing useless, senseless, abhorant blood soaked murders.

Personally, I do not offer prayers to anyone who has been touched by gun violence. It does nothing. For them or for me. My thoughts, however, are exactly the same as yours. I feel unabated rage and utter futility at not having the power to stop this continuing wave of horrific and senseless bloodshed that could absolutely be prevented. And I have lived longer than you thus my continuing rage, over the years of experiencing mass murders, has just added to a kind of built up fury that simply never goes away. It is always there, underlying every thought, every action. Because the scenes of these bullet riddled bodies are indelibly etched in my psyche. As an American, it makes me so very sad for my country. And ashamed!

As Americans, we should look at what has been done in Australia to see that prevention is clearly possible.

Thank you for having the courage to vent.
